Global Healing |

Thuli looked down at the midnight-blue, gold-flecked stone still clutched in his hand, then he looked up at Grandmother and Grandfather. The peace and calm in their eyes were as deep as the blue of his stone, and as their gently locked gaze deepened, the whispers of his Ancestors echoed in his ears:
Lay your forehead upon the earth And listen to the whispers of Oneness
Lay your forehead upon the earth And experience the wisdom of Oneness
Now, lay your forehead upon Mother Earth And become the Gift of Oneness…
At this time of the reuniting of the Eagle and the Condor, we focus the Light of our Love on the Global Healing of the Earth, on bringing into balance the mind/intellect and the heart/spiritual at all levels, of the individual, of nations, and of our planet.
We focus the Light of our Love on the remembrance of our interconnectedness, our Oneness, and on the creation of a hologram of recovery of the forests, the crystal waters, the Earth…
As we join our hearts together, know that powerful beacons of Light and Love will shine forth into the world, will join those from others of like intent, and be directed to those in greatest need on our beloved planet.
As we each prepare for the moment, let the mood be one of unconditional love… …and May the Force be with us! J
Please light your candles (optional) and commence with the following peace poem:
Dear God, Great Spirit, The powerful concept of Oneness grabs our imagination When we first stumble upon it on the sound of the voice or in the written word Now may we experience it in the heart so that it becomes a source of power, A powerful wind that picks up our wings and allows us to soar! May it be done!
We hold that vision of pure power, The power of balance and right perspective, A vision of global rising awareness of the vital beauty and strength That lies in respectfully reconnecting the sacred Circle of Life, the Eagle and the Condor flying as one, wing to wing in the skies of our lives. May it be done!
May all peoples everywhere Break free into aware illumination and conscious living Walking softly upon the earth, in balance with all our relations Restoring our fragmented Circle of Life to an interdependent Whole, A vibrant, softly pulsating, many-faceted jewel of Oneness. And may we nurture this shift in consciousness throughout our lifetime, That it may continue to flourish and evolve in the lifetimes of our children and grandchildren and their children’s children.
May global healing be done!
Aum and Amen!
After this introductory vision/meditation/prayer, please express your own vision of peace. (As always, please feel free to modify the peace poem, or to use your own.)
The feminine has the energy and vitality of flowing water, soft, nurturing, life-giving, slipping easily around obstacles yet powerful enough to smooth, sculpt and wear away the hardest stone.
Particularly at this time, Honour the energy of the feminine!
Please close your peace session with the extinguishing of the candle. ________________________________
“As Keeper of the Sacred C’anupa Bundle, I ask for your prayers for Global Healing.” - Chief Arvol Looking Horse
When I read those words, the Global Healing Peace Circle was born. In 1996, Chief Arvol Looking Horse, the nineteenth Generation Keeper of the Tradition of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe, began a tradition of a World Peace and Prayer Day on June 21, four annual ceremonies honouring the four directions. The 1999 ceremony was held in Costa Rica, and it is believed that in bringing together the indigenous peoples of the North and the South, that this ceremony was in fulfillment of the prophecy foretelling the reuniting of the Eagle and the Condor. The Wolakota Foundation continues to host an annual World Peace and Prayer Day. http://www.wolakota.org/wppd.html
Notes and Sources:
Ubuntu, pronounced ‘oo-boon-too’, has no equivalent English word. Says Archbishop Tutu: “Africans have this thing called Ubuntu. It is about the essence of being human, it is part of the gift that Africa will give the world… Ubuntu says, in order to enhance my humanity, I have to work like blazes to enhance your humanity.”
…there is a mountain just 3 degrees south of the Equator where the peoples once lived in harmony with the mountain, the animals, the earth and each other, and were skilled forest gardeners. The use of the forgiveness plant was an integral part of their culture. The people are the Chagga people of Tanzania, and the mountain is internationally known as Kililmanjaro. The mountain and the Chagga are now in trouble.
…there is an Amazon prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor which matches in essential ways, the prophecies shared by other indigenous cultures around the world. It goes as follows. Humankind is at a criticality in its evolution, in that those who are materially oriented have approached life solely from the intellect and developed incredible technologies, but are spiritually impoverished (the Eagles). Whereas, those of the indigenous cultures who are heart-centered, intuitive and approach life from the senses have great spiritual power, are highly attuned to nature, but are materially impoverished (the Condors). Neither path is optimum to the survival of either peoples. The prophesy foretells that around the late 1990s, the Eagle and the Condor ‘will fly together in the same sky, wing to wing. In other words, mind and heart will rejoin. Intellect and senses will reconnect. The world will come into balance in a miraculous way.’We each have a choice to make.
…and it is reported that traditionally, “in the Babemba tribe (Southern Africa), when a person acts irresponsibly or unjustly, he or she is placed in the center of the village, alone and unfettered. All the work ceases, the entire village gathers around the accused individual. Then each person of every age begins to talk out loud to the accused. One at a time, each person tells all of the good things the one in the center ever did in his or her lifetime - every incident, every experience that can be recalled with any detail or accuracy is recounted. All positive attributes, good deeds, strengths and acts of kindness are recited carefully and at length. No one is permitted to fabricate, to exaggerate or to be facetious about the accomplishments or the positive aspects of the accused person.
The tribal ceremony often lasts several days, not ceasing until every one is drained of every positive comment that can be mustered.
At the end, the tribal circle is broken, a joyous celebration takes place and the person is symbolically welcomed back into the tribe. Necessity for such ceremonies is rare.”- From the journals of Peace Pilgrim as recounted by Dr. Wayne Dyer in his 2006 talk entitled ‘Inspiration’.
