Be The Dream

3Page 1

Lisa, Farrah and Alan.  They are us and we are them, ordinary people with extraordinary capacity.   They set aside society’s notions of living confined to limitations and created their own windows of possibility, and we can do the same.

To catch the magic, first create a breathing space of Love for yourself and see with new eyes – look towards the possible.  See past any clouds of doubt, worry, fear, anger, guilt or grief to the extraordinary you contain within.  Dare to dream.  Dare to believe in yourself. Dare to tap into your capacity to do extraordinary things.

Next, connect to your passion. Engage the excitement of your passion and allow its abundance and beauty to flow naturally into your life.  Then, being fully present in the moment, follow your intuition and take a risk ~ a magnificent risk ~ and step through your open window of possibilities into your authentic power, and live!  Live maximally!!!  Dare to do that which you love!  Dare to create a world fit for children by living your dreams with full integrity and authentic power.

When we live our authentic inner vision,  we not only honour ourselves,

we also live in fulfillment of our children’s dreams…that is,

by living our dreams with integrity and power,

we create the right space for the unfolding

of our children’s dreams.

As we join our hearts together, know that powerful beacons of Light and Love will shine forth into the world, will join those from others of like intent, and be directed to those in greatest need on our beloved planet.

As we each prepare for the moment, let the mood be one of unconditional love…

…and May the Force be with us! J

Please light your candles (optional) and commence with the following peace poem:

May we move in the direction of our wildest dreams and fulfill them.

And from our new place of power, stillness and comfort, may we

Turn towards all the children of the world who are seeking

Whose eager eyes gaze at us crying out for help,

And say with smiling eyes of love:

‘Reach out and take my hand,

You are no longer alone.’

May we live our authentic vision fully,

And living thus from our sacred breathing space of Love

A space of deep peace, integrity and unconditional allowing,

May we become a safe place to fall for all the children of the earth

That they may then be free to grow into their highest potential.

And may it be that without words,

A child beholding us will see the light of beauty in our eyes,

The authentic power in the cast of our body, the spring of confidence

in our steps that proclaims us living our power fully,

And in the power of that moment,

May she experience the possibility for extraordinary living

Within herself.

May it be that wherever she looks

She sees adults with integrity, speaking truth to power.

May it be that as she witnesses, her brain encodes this,

And she grows up powerful and strong, living her dreams,

Fulfilling her potential.

May it be that wherever he looks

He sees adults celebrating their differences

And solving their conflicts with mutual respect.

He is peaceful because he sees peace around him.

He is hopeful because he sees hope demonstrated around him.

He is loving because he sees and experiences Love around him.

May this powerful world of possibilities be manifested

For all the children of the world to play in

And create their highest future.

Aum and Amen.

After this introductory vision/meditation/prayer, please express your own vision of peace. (As always, please feel free to modify the peace poem, or to use your own.)

When dreams ignite in the core of your being,

A window to magical and extraordinary possibilities opens

Step boldly through that window, and

Be the dream.

Please close your peace session with the extinguishing of the candle.

This Peace Circle fulfills my pledge to the Global Movement for children, an organization under the patronage of Nelson Mandela and Graça Machel, to do one Peace Circle for the children of the world each year.

I particularly want to remember all the world's invisible children, especially those who, like the child abductees of Northern Uganda, are begging us to stop the war, and are crying out for their right to play.  I dedicate this Peace Circle to them.

  • I was privileged to meet Alan in his home on my first Spirit journey to Sedona.  I was introduced to him by one of his roommates, his friend, Fredda, whom I met one day quite by chance on the rocky banks of one of Sedona's many rippling streams.  Alan could have chosen the safe route and lived the rest of his days in a hospital.  He chose instead to follow his heart and live the fullest, most rewarding life he could in a glorious environment that fed his Soul daily and lifted his spirits every moment of every day.  There, he lived a full, joyful and engaging life, interacting with roommates and friends until his death in the mid to late 1990s.
