You can't make someone like you, respect you, or acknowledge your greatness, but you can make sure that you love, respect and acknowledge yourself for the great being you are. And that is where it all begins.

When someone tries to put you down, don't fight back with negativity. Fighting back with negativity only draws the other's hurtful energy into your energy field, which would make you feel worse. You allow their energy to alter yours.

Fight back with positive energy. Positive energy focuses you on the best part of yourself, and this causes the energy field around you to expand. When your energy pushes out into the other's person's energy field, you alter theirs instead, and this invariably weakens their will and ability to do you harm.

Actively choose the energies you want around you. Choose energies that make you feel good, that allow you to love and respect yourself. Reject energies that make you feel small, that belittle you.

Learn to differentiate between authentic personal power and external power based on stature or wealth - things that can be easily lost.

You must first believe in your own power before others can!
